How to change hostname in Kali Linux

There are two way to change host name actually both are same but in different way. We will learn here both.

First Method

1. Click on application → Accessories →Leafpad

1.       2. After opening leafpad click file then open 

3. Click on File system → etc → hostname and click on open

1.      4.  Leafpad will show your present hostname just replace it into your new hostname and save it then restart 

SECOND METHOD

1.       1. Open terminal and type cd  /etc  and hit enter

1.      2. Type leafpad hostname and hit enter

1.      3. Leafpad will show your present hostname just replace it in your new hostname and save it

1.      4. Restart system
